Answers to frequently asked questions regarding your Stern accounts.

Stern Accounts:

When does my e-mail account expire?
For Jan 2013 and May 2013 graduates, your Stern NetID based Gmail account will not expire.

When do I lose access to Stern workstations?
January 2013 and May 2013 graduates will have Stern workstation access until January 31, 2014.

Will I continue to have access to Sternlinks?
You will continue to have access to Sternlinks. On January 31, 2014, your Sternlinks homepage will change to an Alumni page and the available links will change. You will continue to have access to your Stern Gmail and other Google services via Sternlinks. You will no longer have access to student specific web services such as AIS.

When do I lose access to my Stern web applications?
Access to most Stern password protected web pages and applications (except Sternlinks, see above) will end on January 31, 2014.

Will I be able to use Print@Stern?
Recent graduates will continue to have access to the Print@Stern printing system until July 1, 2013. Graduates will not receive additional page allocation, but may use their remaining page quota or purchase new pages.

Will I be able to access my H: drive after this?
Once you lose access to the Stern workstations on January 31, 2014, you lose access to your H: and other network spaces. You will not be able to access your data after this date. You should move your data onto a removable medium such as a jumpdrive or USB key, before January 31, 2014. Alternatively, download the files from our H drive to your laptop or home computer.

How long do I have access to Blackboard courses?

You will have access to Blackboard courses until August 1, 2013 or until the faculty member makes the course unavailable. Therefore, you should not rely on having access to a Blackboard course after the course has ended. If you wish to keep something from the course, it is best to download and save it elsewhere to ensure access.
